Who We Are
PixelHush is a macOS developer tool that automatically hides sensitive values (API keys, tokens, passwords) in your code editor when screen recording begins. It is developed and distributed by an independent developer.
This Privacy Policy explains what information PixelHush collects, why, and how it is used when you install or use the PixelHush macOS application, editor extensions (VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Antigravity), Chrome extension, or visit our website at pixelhush.dev.

What PixelHush Does NOT Do
Specifically, PixelHush does not:
— Read or store the values of your environment variables, API keys, tokens, or passwords.
— Transmit your source code or file contents anywhere.
— Record or replay your screen.
— Sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers.
Information Collection
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate and improve PixelHush. Here is a complete breakdown:

All analytics events are anonymised before transmission. We use a self-hosted analytics solution and do not share this data with third-party analytics providers.
Billing & Subscriptions
Payments for PixelHush Pro plans (Monthly, Annual, Lifetime) are processed by Polar.sh, our third-party payment processor. When you purchase a plan:
— Your payment details (card number, billing address) are handled entirely by Polar.sh and are never stored on our servers.
— We receive only your email address and transaction confirmation to issue a license key.
— Polar.sh's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment information.
Who We Share Data With
We do not sell your data. We share limited data only with the following service providers, strictly for operating PixelHush:
— Polar.sh — payment processing (Pro plans only).
— Hosting provider — website and license server infrastructure.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users, but we will notify you where legally permitted to do so.
How Long We Keep Data
Crash reports and anonymous analytics events are retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted.
License and billing records are retained for as long as your subscription is active, plus 3 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing dan.postnov@gmail.com.
Access, Correction & Deletion
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
— Access the personal data we hold about you.
— Correct inaccurate data.
— Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
— Object to certain types of processing.
— Export your data in a portable format.

How We Protect Your Data
We use industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption for all data in transit, and access controls for data at rest. The macOS application communicates exclusively over a local WebSocket on localhost:39271 and never initiates outbound connections with your secrets.
Our editor extensions (VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Antigravity) use the editor's official Decoration API — the real file contents are never modified or transmitted.
Children's Privacy
PixelHush is a developer tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify users via email or an in-app notice.
Continued use of PixelHush after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
